How it works
The player experience — and what running one actually involves.
- 1
Social sessions, not fixtures
A recurring club night — the Wednesday mixer, the Friday social. Come when you can.
- 2
Join once, RSVP per date
Say you're in for the dates you can make. Spots are limited — first come, first served.
- 3
Full? Join the waitlist
Drop-outs promote the waitlist automatically and the app lets you know you are in.
- 4
Matches made on the night
Organisers pair everyone up on the night — balanced games and nobody sits out for long.
- 5
Results still count
Scores are recorded like any match, and your meet stats build session after session.
- 6
Pay per session
Paid meets charge only after you play — never when you sign up. Cancellation windows follow club rules.
What is a meet?
A meet is a recurring club social session — the Wednesday mixer, the Friday night social — run with per-date RSVPs instead of fixtures. Members join the meet once, then simply say they are in for the dates they can make. Capacity caps, waitlists with automatic promotion, and cancellation windows keep every session fair without the organiser chasing anyone.
On the night, the event-day console handles everything: register who actually turned up, generate balanced matches from the room, record scores and finalise. Results feed member stats like any other match, and paid meets charge attendees only after they have played — with the billing, retries and refunds handled by club payments.
Why clubs choose meets
Turn up and play
No commitment beyond the nights you fancy — ideal for members who cannot promise a whole season.
The organiser stays social too
Registration, pairing, results and billing all run from one console, so hosting a night is not a second job.
Fair, fun games
Pairings made on the night from who is actually there — balanced matches without the spreadsheet.
Clubs with a social night to run — from casual mixers to paid coached sessions.

Frequently asked questions
How is a meet different from a league?
There is no table to climb and no commitment: a meet is session-based social play. Come to the dates you fancy, play balanced games, and your stats still build over time.
What happens when a session is full?
New RSVPs join the waitlist. If someone cancels, the first waitlisted member is promoted automatically and notified — no group-chat scramble.
When do members pay for a paid meet?
Only after they play: sessions bill when the organiser finalises the night, and late cancellations follow the club's cancellation window rules.
Who makes the matches on the night?
The organiser, from the event-day console — it generates balanced pairings from exactly who is in the room, so nobody sits out for long.
Not quite the right fit?
Tap Leagues runs five formats — mix and match them at one club.
